Hunter's Full Moon

The full moon in October is known as the Hunter's Moon, the name of which originated from indigenous people, who benefited from the bright appearance of the moon as hunters prepared for long winters.

This (2024) Hunter's Moon is going to be the closest supermoon to earth of the entire year and it will start to appear in the sky this evening, October 16th and peak tomorrow morning, October 17th.
