Garnet

As you may already know, Garnet is the birth stone for those born under the sign of Capricorn as well as those born during the month of January.

In spiritual terms, Garnet is associated with passion, energy, vitality and strength.  It symbolizes love and commitment and is considered a stone to enhance relationships and attract love which is why it is often found in engagement or eternity rings.

Garnet is also believed to promote feelings of security and stability and with its deep red color represents the life force within the body. It is also a stone meant to bring success in achieving goals.

Some cultures viewed the stones as a talisman that protected against evil and was seen as a stone that would keep wearers safe.

In Christian tradition, Garnet is associated with the blood of Christ, symbolizing sacrifice and devotion. 

In Judaism, Garnet is used in jewellery as a symbol of abundance and fertility.
